Emergency calls and planned work

Some jobs cannot wait. A split pipe, a sewer backup, a failed sump pump in a storm or a water heater leaking onto the floor are treated as emergencies, and dispatch books them first.

Why the base is in Darien

The office sits on Lemont Road, close to the Interstate 55 interchange. That puts Cass Avenue, Plainfield Road and 75th Street within easy reach, and it keeps travel short to the four neighboring towns we serve.

Darien was incorporated in 1969 from the Marion Hills, Brookhaven, Farmingdale and Hinsbrook subdivisions, so a large share of local homes were built in the 1960s and 1970s. That matters to us in practical ways: older drain lines, aging water heaters and basements that rely on sump pumps are the problems we expect to see.

Plumbing work in Illinois is held to the standards in the Illinois Plumbing Code (Title 77, Part 890 of the Illinois Administrative Code). Routine clearing of a clog does not usually change the plumbing, but repairs and replacements often do, and we will tell you what applies to your job.
